Coding Page

This page is for extra curricular work after your reading and math from your homeroom teacher is done. It has links to introductiory coding websites. Khan Academy can be done without signing up but the others require that you sign up with an e-mail address.

KhanAcademy.org

Khan Academy teaches coding by using YouTube style videos. The instructor explains the snippet of code and shows an example and you can immediately try it out and customize it.

FreeCodeCamp.org

Free Code Camp has the split screen like Khan Academy but without video tutorials. This may allow you to move through the lessons faster.

CodePen.io

Code Pen lets you see the coding that you are doing in a website format. Your code is entered on the side and your website appears next to it. Code can be entered all in the "HTML section" or you can keep the HTML seperate from the CSS and JavaScript. You can try copying and pasting your work from Khan Academy and Free Code Camp into here to see what it looks like.

CodeAcademy.com

At Code Academy you can learn to code for free. E-mail sign up.
